Outside of the hair industry, Cassie looks up to the musician and fashion designer Pharrell Williams as an inspirational figure. “He is a master divergent thinker and lets nothing limit his vision and purpose,” she says.

It was love at first sight when Gonzalo Murillo discovered his passion for hairstyling 20 years ago. “I loved the idea of having a connection with the client—creating different looks for them.”

“I loved the idea of having a connection with the client—creating different looks for them.” He launched his career in 1998 in Barcelona at the Cebado salon, where he began learning how to transform technique into beauty. From there he moved on to Llongueras salon, also in Spain, and gained expertise in the cutting-edge techniques to create futuristic looks. Gonzalo traveled around Spain and Latin America as part of the WellaGroup’s Trend Vision team from 2003 to 2007, under the mentorship of Artistic Director Claudio Abuela. “He taught me that humility, technique and passion are the fundamental pillars to be successful,” he shares. After a stint in London at the Vidal Sassoon Academy, he joined Matrix in 2007 and had the opportunity to travel throughout Latin America to New York from his home in Argentina, styling hair for international shows and editorial photo shoots.

Gonzalo’s next adventure was joining the Moroccanoil team. “Moroccanoil captivated me as soon as I found it,” he says. “Hair care and hairstyling go hand in hand. If you have healthy hair, you don’t have limits to create beautiful looks.” Fueled by his enthusiasm for the brand, he helped launch Moroccanoil in Argentina.
